This Group is for Health and Safety Risk Management
professionals working predominantly in the National
Health Service. It was formed in the 1970’s in
answer to the introduction of the Health and Safety
at Work etc Act 1974 by ‘like minded souls’ in order
to share learning, information and experience within
the healthcare sector.
Over the years links have
been established with the Health and Safety
Executive, the Institute of Occupational Safety and
Health, National Performance Advisory Group, Royal
College of Nursing and other regulatory and non
regulatory bodies, as well as similarly constituted
groups within the United Kingdom.
Whilst membership
may have changed over the years, the core purpose of
the group remains the same – that of sharing and
learning from the experience of it’s members.
